These Terms of Use govern access to and use of Journowireki, available at https://2009.neurogena.net (the “Site”). The Site is a non-commercial editorial and informational publication focused on journalism, investigations, public-interest reporting, documentary sources, and media literacy. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Site.

1. Operator and scope of these Terms

Journowireki is the operator of this Site for the purposes of these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors and readers, whether they access the Site from Anguilla or elsewhere. They apply to editorial pages, archive material, site search, legal-information pages, and any other publicly available part of the Site.

The Site does not offer user accounts, reader comments, purchases, subscriptions, orders, bookings, consultations, or other transactional functions. These Terms therefore do not create a contract for the provision of paid goods or services. They set the rules for responsible access to a public informational resource.

Those notices should be read together with these Terms. Where a mandatory rule of applicable law conflicts with a provision in these Terms, that mandatory rule prevails.

Nor may you falsely suggest that the Site has verified a claim beyond what its published text actually says.

4. No accounts, comments, or public submissions

The Site does not provide reader accounts, public comment areas, community profiles, or a mechanism for publishing user-generated content. Readers should not assume that material sent to the contact address will be published, investigated, retained, answered, or treated as confidential.

If you choose to contact the Site, do not send unlawful material, personal data about other people that you are not entitled to disclose, threats, malware, or information that would expose another person to avoidable harm. Do not send material if you require a promise of confidentiality, source protection, legal representation, or publication. No such promise is made through these Terms or merely by receiving a message.

Any editorial decision concerning a message, correction request, or suggested source remains solely with Journowireki. The absence of a response does not mean that a submission has been accepted, reviewed, verified, or rejected.

5. Intellectual property, attribution, and fair quotation

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Journowireki is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss arising from reliance on general information, loss caused by an external source or service, or loss resulting from circumstances outside its reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including liability that cannot lawfully be excluded for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or other protected rights.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove rights that mandatory law gives to an individual user. If a disclaimer or limitation is not enforceable in a particular situation, it will apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Responsibility for misuse and indemnity

If you deliberately or negligently misuse the Site in breach of these Terms or applicable law, you may be responsible for the reasonably foreseeable loss, damage, cost, or claim caused by that misuse. Where permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify Journowireki against third-party claims arising directly from your unlawful use of the Site, infringement of another person’s rights, or deliberate interference with the Site’s systems.

This provision does not require you to indemnify Journowireki for matters caused by its own unlawful conduct, nor does it apply beyond what applicable law permits. It is intended to address genuine misuse, not to discourage lawful reading, criticism, reporting, or fair quotation.

12. Applicable law, courts, and mandatory rights

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Anguilla, except where a mandatory rule of the law applicable to you requires otherwise. Any dispute connected with these Terms or use of the Site may be brought before the courts with jurisdiction under applicable law.

If you are entitled to rely on mandatory protections in your place of residence, these Terms do not prevent you from relying on those protections. The Site is non-commercial and does not offer consumer transactions, but nothing here is intended to restrict a right of access to a court, a statutory remedy, or another right that cannot lawfully be restricted.

13. Severability, waiver, and changes to these Terms

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited only as far as necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure by Journowireki to enforce a provision immediately does not waive its right to enforce that provision later.

Journowireki may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Site, editorial practice, law, security needs, or the way readers interact with available features. The updated version will apply from the date shown at the beginning of this page. Continued use after an update means that you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
